Falafel was excellent! They make it fresh daily in house. When we walked in on a Saturday afternoon it was empty and we thought "oh no" it's a small place hole in the wall... BUT it was delicious food. We had a falafel sandwich and a dolmas plate. Everything tasted great and the pita was fresh. The service was very friendly, too. I only give 5* to the best I've ever had, and this wasn't, but it was delicious and I'd go there again!

Yummy, affordable, and super friendly service! I got the falafel sandwich combo and added feta. I ordered to-go and it was ready in about 7 mins. Fresh and hot. Get the hot sauce too - so good!

Years later and this is still hands down the best falafel and gyro sandwich you will ever find. Falafel is so delicately crispy on the outside and juicy and flavorful on the inside. The lamb has wonderfully crispy edges and a roasted smell so amazing, one can barely wait until the car to open the take away bag and grab a bite. This place should have lines out the door the moment it opens. Love you forever Hungry Pocket!

Great food. Best falafel. And now it's open late everyday. I have been coming here for over 20 years. Been consistent ever since. Recently changed ownership. Crossing my fingers to have the same quality.

I really really wanted to give this place 5 stars, but I'm almost tempted to put 3. I live right down the street and have been wanting to try this place. Ordered on Uber eats for pickup. Said 5-15 minutes. I went in around 15 mins and the owner told me 5 more minutes, then as I walked away he told me a couple minutes. I love mom n pop places and even if service isn't the best they usually have great food. And ultimately he wasn't rude, but just not very friendly. But it felt like kind of a miss. For the food, it was solid, but not mind blowing. I will say the falafel is one of the best I've ever had. Great texture and flavor. Labneh was just okay. The one they sell at the Virginia Ave farmers market is so much better. Gyro meat was good. Hummus and babaganoush were good, but definitely had a lot better. Fries were really good. Tahini sauce was a no for me dawg. And the salad and pita bread were kind of sad. Salad boring, bread could be fresher. I might come back. But probably for just the falafel and fries.

I came here for the falafel and boy, was it good. I was hungry and craving something on the lighter side as I waited for traffic to die down. I stumbled across this place on Yelp and so happy I did. This place is close to Santa Monica City College tucked away in a little strip mall. You can't miss it with its bright yellow exterior. The strip mall has some parking spots. When you get inside, it's nothing fancy... you definitely get that classic home style vibe. It has been around for over 50 years. There is some seating inside. The owner was super nice and helpful. I decided to order the classic falafel sandwich and it was so tasty. The falafel had perfect consistency and wasn't dry at all. At under $8, it's a steal of a deal for Santa Monica. I also got a medium side of tabbouleh for $5 that is so fresh and tasty. Overall, I recommend this place if you're looking for some good cheap eats. A Santa Monica steal!
